The up-to-date Doubt Killer armor in Helldivers 2 raises questions about whether players would mind paying almost the price of full War Bonds for a single Superstore suit

Helldivers 2’s newest battle bond, Truth Enforcers, dropped into the game today, and it looks like the armor set that dropped from the Superstore right after it is likely to get even more attention from players. Part of this is for good reasons because it looks nice, but it also makes many people question whether it should cost them so many super credits.

You’d think that with three Chief Order objectives to complete, people would have less time to discuss IVs, but equipment has always been an significant thing in Helldiver land. After all, how are you supposed to play the role of cold super soldier if you don’t spend hours in front of the mirror trying to decide which helmet really matches your flamethrower?

Either way, if you want Superstore’s newest armor, the Wolfenstein-style UF 84 Doubt Killer set, you’ll have to part with a total of 925 Super Credits. That’s 400 for just the body armor, 200 for the helmet, 50 for the banner, and a pretty hefty 250 for the cape, all of which add up to the full set.

To put this into context, if you want to convert credits to buy the Truth Keepers Bonds – which boasts two armors and a bunch of other stuff – you’ll have to spend 1,000, as was the case with War Bonds for a good while now.

While this is apparently not the first time that individual pieces of armor in the Superstore have been priced similarly to the cost of equipping a questionable assassin, likely due to the cape being slightly off-priced, it has sparked some backlash from NA players Redditwho feel they may need to put some pressure on Arrowhead to make things bought this way a little cheaper.

“Please mention this in the next survey they conduct. I think we should all mention it, because I’m in the same boat,” wrote Soviet userMarma, one of the moderators of the Helldivers subreddit, in response to the post regarding the price of the set. “We’ve already gotten armor sets priced at 600 Super Credits, so I doubt they’ll change anything about that, but I think we can convince them to rethink their cape prices, or at least keep such expensive armor in War Bonds,” they added, “We should all strive to make our voices heard.”

“A set costing 90% War Bonds is crazy,” wrote another player. “Especially now that we’ve gone from three War Bond sets to two. I really hope this isn’t Arrowhead testing the waters.” Some players’ frustration with this seems to be further compounded by the fact that the Doubt Assassin’s set being medium armor means that between it and Enforcers of Truth, no up-to-date weighty armor sets have been introduced to the game as part of the latest batch of expansions.

We’ll have to see if Arrowhead addresses these concerns, and to be fair to the studio, they’ve done a great job of taking action or at least being open to discussing elements of the game that aren’t working like most players would like, as seen with the Punisher Plasma tweak in the latest patch.
