The up-to-date Apple Games application will appear on the iPhone and iPad this year

Published:

At last, Apple finally revealed its upcoming Sports competitions App. The rumors around the independent application for games have been spinning for months, but during the main brand WWDC 2025 Keynote we finally looked at the up-to-date software iPhoneIN iPadIN DusterAnd not only.

The Games application contains four tabs: home, arcade, play together and library. On the main page you can find recommendations based on what you play or learn about the upcoming events in the game. It is not surprising that Apple Arcade Tab contains constantly growing Apple Arcade games, including independent hits such as Balaatro and vampires that survived. The Play Together card allows you to challenge contacts to try to overcome high results or jump into some action for many players, a function that I begged Apple to deliver for years. Then there is a library card that follows every game you have ever downloaded.

While the great disclosure of Apple games is quite stimulating, unfortunately we still have a little bit before we can check it, and the update will not come only in starting iOS 26 this year. The up-to-date Apple operating systems tend to run at about the same time as up-to-date phones. Considering that we anticipate the premiere of the iPhone 17 at the beginning of September, it will probably pass several months before we go to some types from our guide to the best iPhone games in the iPhone application, iPad and more.

For me, the Apple Games application is long behind schedule, especially in terms of up-to-date social functions available through the Play Card together. Considering how many users he plays on its iPhones – according to the technological giant itself – it seems that games have long been a reflection when it comes to the impressions of the iPhone and iPad. Connect the latest update with the message that Apple has recently purchased RAC7, Studio for Apple Arcade hit Sneaky Sasquatch, and it seems that Tim Cook and Gang no longer take players for granted.

Finally, when it comes to compatibility, the Games and iOS 26 application come to devices from the iPhone 11 series and any newer model, so if you have an iPhone 10, it may be time to update.
