The Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot Game Controller can be turned into a mini fighting stick

A few years ago, Victrix released a game controller with replaceable front buttons. The Pro BFG on PC and PlayStation 5, it can transform from a standard controller layout into a portable battle stick. Since then, Victrix and its parent company PDP have been acquired by Turtle Beachwhich today unveiled the spiritual successor to the modular controller. Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot works as a wired controller for Xbox consoles using the included USB cable, and as a wireless controller (via Bluetooth 5.2 or 2.4 GHz dongle) for PC, Android and other clever devices. This is now available for pre-order for $129.99 before its November 26 release.

Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot retains the spirit of the Pro BFG, but replaces faceplate replacement with a rotational mechanic; instead of keeping track of different parts, you can simply twist the left and right modules to reveal the second configuration. The right module can switch between a hall-effect stick with a customary four-button layout, and a six-button layout more reminiscent of a battle stick. Similarly, the left module can rotate between a hall-effect stick and a D-pad array, or just a D-pad and two additional buttons. Both sides twist independently of each other, so you can mix and match them depending on your style and play.

As with other Turtle Beach products, audio plays an significant role here, with a 3.5mm headphone jack and special audio mixing features accessible from the controller’s command display, where you can also customize button assignments. The command display can be programmed to show you “social notifications from your phone for all your favorite social media platforms”, which is both a helpful way to keep you from grabbing your phone and also probably the biggest entertainment during the match – both fun in their own right!
