Resident Evil Requiem will receive its own Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller, which will be released with the game on February 27, 2026. can be pre-ordered at Best Buy for $99.99.
It’s the first Switch 2 game to come with its own Pro Controller, and it costs $10 more than the standard one Switch 2 Pro Controller ($89)likely sets a pricing precedent for these special edition gamepads.
The controller retains the same black and gray color scheme as the standard model, but stands out with an RE-themed front panel that looks like a newspaper clipping from Raccoon City.
The words “Resident Evil” appear prominently at the top with “Requiem” just below them, while the rest of the design includes snippets of in-universe articles and haunting images of the city’s bleak scenery.
It looks like Capcom will be bringing the full power of Resident Evil Requiem to the Switch 2 with some exclusive announcements for the console.
This includes the aforementioned controller along with amiibo and the “Resident Evil Generation Pack” which includes Resident Evil Requiem, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition on Switch 2.
Only at time of publication Best buy AND Nintendo (sold out) are pre-ordering the first themed Switch 2 Pro controller. But we also expect companies like Amazon, Walmart and Target to follow suit soon.
Stay tuned for more pre-order updates, and for now, check out our full Resident Evil Requiem pre-order guide.
In the meantime, we have a lot more information about Requiem, including an explanation from the game’s director why Western fans are more willing to play in first-person mode and why the developers can’t tell whether the game is truly scary anymore.
Resident Evil Requiem will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on February 27, 2026.
