As the fall months approach, Sims 4 will explore the terrifying subject of life and death. Electronic Arts has released message on Thursday, the planned lineup, events, and next expansion for the life simulator game will be announced. Life and Death will be an expansion focusing on mortality and the afterlife of our beloved Sims. To celebrate, we can expect the return of the Grim Reaper.
Two novel kits are set to release on September 19: the Artist Studio Kit and the Storybook Nursery Kit. The former is designed for original Sims who love to write, paint, or sculpt; it will provide novel items to spruce up their studio. The latter is designed for those who enjoy giving their little Sims a hands-on approach to raising them, giving them fancy and sophisticated nurseries.
There will also be free items available through the Reaper’s Rewards event. The Reaper’s Rewards event will hit the base game on September 24th. We’re not sure what the event will involve, but it will lead to the reveal Life and Death The expansion pack will be released on October 3, with the full release taking place on Halloween.
Sims 4 is a decade elderly now, but Electronic Arts still releases various packs to flesh out the game’s elements. This will likely be the only Sims game on our plate for some time; Sims 5Also known as Project Rene, it is still in relatively early stages of development.
At the moment, Sims can traverse, haunt their elderly homes, and even come back to life through a few scarce and esoteric methods. We’ll see how Life and Death extends the series, but I’m hoping it gives me a little more one-on-one time with the Grim Reaper — he seems like a frigid guy.
