Shadow Labyrinth is the upcoming 2D campaign platformer from our team at Bandai Namco Studios, where players will control the swordsman No. 8, called to the mysterious planet by the enigmatic album to complete the mission in which others failed. They will both discover secrets and fight great bosses in the fight for survival. The concept of the murky PAC-Man game is a brave novel area for the brand, providing a unique experience in which the existing and novel PAC players will be excited. Shadow Labyrinth emerges from the darkness on July 18.

Players could see that Puck looks a bit like a pac-man, and there is an amazing visual visual room of a huge feeling and a murky pac-man who throws himself on the body of a fallen enemy. But the inspiration of Shadow Labyrinth from Pac-Man is more than deep skin, our team worked on building from scratch with careful consideration of what it means to be a Pac-Man game.

The iconic maze is second only from Pac-Man himself, taking into account the basic factors of Pac. We wanted to apply this principle to our game, in which the characters are just as vital as the place where we find them. The Arcade Pac-Man maze is addictive and we wanted to revive it on a larger scale. The map of this mysterious planet, when watched, is enlarged, is a massive maze and like the original PAC-Man, you need to read the maze to the best enemies. The original maze Arcade Game was set against the background of darkness, Shadow Labyrinth goes a step further, having our history in the depth of space on a murky and mysterious planet, where survival means more hard challenges at deeper levels. Either you reach the end or you are consumed.

When you are approaching the Pac-Man arcada machine, a joystick is greeted, so we thought that controlling Pac-Man is quite basic, right? It’s just a joystick. But as progressed at every level, the action on the screen of avoiding spirits becomes intense. Shadow Labyrinth gives players a variety of activities and weapons for operate, but we wanted the player’s contribution to seem natural, not overwhelming – like this basic joystick. We also wanted to give the player as much choice as possible, allowing him to choose a direction in which they would like to discover first. Like the original Arcade Pac-Man, the Shadow Labyrinth action becomes seriously intense and we felt that the accessible control scheme and flexibility in discovering the instructions that are engaging, would facilitate deepen the immersion of the player similar to the original dexterity game.

In fact, there are 3 modes of Shadow Labyrinth. Controlling the swordsman No. 8 consists in using weapons and ingenious revocation, and the mini Puck mode is about discovering hidden and out of reach. The same in themselves feel very pac-man, but 3Rd The game mode is effectively a Pellet Pellet Power Labyrinth: Gaia, Robotic Giant with destructive strength. Using Gaia, players can damage enemies who could otherwise be too mighty, break the barriers (reference to the arcade game of Super Pac-Man) and actually eat enemies. But like power pellets, this power is not unlimited and must be used strategically, as Pac-Man fans say, “turn the tables” of your enemies.

Pac-man always eats dots, granules and ghosts to level and continue. We wanted to develop the basic concept of consumption in the shade of the maze to cover food to overcome enemies, but also food as a way to supply. In the game you can eat enemies instead of cutting them until you beat.

If you decide to eat them, you will gain different resources depending on the enemy you ate. These resources can then be used to acquire and update your skills. So in the shade you have to eat a maze to develop, not only to reach further, but also to grow from the victim to the vertex predator.

But where are the ghosts? We haven’t forgotten about them. In the shadow, the maze, among many vile creatures, should be destroyed or haunted, are G-Hosts: parasitic organisms that took over the monsters and planet’s machines to create something novel and terrifying. These meetings serve as powerful battles with bosses adapting for the main antagonists of the dexterity original. You will meet G host based on Pac-Man, such as Pinky, never revealed so far as Twisted Boss Battles.

Shadow Labyrinth is inspired by the heritage of games from this genre, as well as the construction of the Pac-Man DNA. But players with the Eagle have already noticed tips that Shadow Labyrinth takes place in a greater chronology of the UGSF (United Galaxy Space Force) schedule: a common universe that combines many games in the space of Bandai Namco’s space. When players study the huge world map of Shadow Labyrinth, they will encounter eminent enemies such as those from the DIG DUG, Bosconian and others series.

Shadow Labyrinth comes to PlayStation 5 July 18!
