The premiere was previously planned for the summer, the release date is officially known River City Girls 2cooperation with Double Dragon. Billy and Jimmy Lee will hit the mean streets as playable characters November 12, 2024.
The basis of the DLC is, of course, the ability to play as uncompromising heroes Double Dragon number. Billy and Jimmy are completely unique fighters, bringing their own special moves to the fight. Players will be able to defeat Hurricane Kicks and Rising Knees by progressing through the fighting game’s story mode.
As previously reported, Billy and Jimmy’s voices will also be fully voiced. IN River City Girls 2these voices belong to the Game Grumps themselves, Dan Avidan (Billy) and Arin Hanson (Jimmy). The two are also collaborating on a recent vocal song with music by, among others, Girls from River City composer Megan McDuffee.

The whole is complemented by a recent dojo, Master Boro. As the screenshots and footage so far indicate, it looks like WayForward has put a lot of work into seamlessly integrating both worlds. Since it’s one of the mainstays of the genre, there’s no problem throwing it away Double Dragon get into the mix whenever possible, but it’s nice to see it’s done with the right amount of care and respect.
