While most of you are probably pretty relaxed on PUBG Mobile, especially after the latest Icemire Frontier update introducing ice dragons and more to the hit Battle Royale, a whole other league of gamers are currently (probably) sweating. This is because the league stage of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 has just concluded and three more qualifying teams will join the finals in December this year.
Brute Force, INFLUENCE RAGE and ThunderTalk Gaming will join the already qualified teams in the grand final, which will take place at London’s ExCel Center from December 6-8. Fortunately, the teams that did not make it to the final This round they still have a chance.
The survival stage starts from November 20 to 22. At this stage, the field of 24 teams will be whittled down to just 16, with the ‘Last Chance’ stage taking place on November 23-24, providing places for a further six teams to join the Grand Final.
Shoot for the moon
After covering a lot of the recent news from the PUBG Mobile Global Championship, I have to admit that I was more impressed with it than the much more advertised, but probably much less extensive PUBG Mobile World Cup that took place in Riyad this summer.
On the other hand, compared to that event, which for many players took place virtually on the other side of the world and which perhaps owes more to a desire to promote Saudi Arabia as a major gaming hub than anything else, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship is set to make a name for itself by being in an easier to access place.
