Pinball enthusiasts and Dungeons & Dragons fanatics alike will likely be interested in this lush-looking and insanely steep novel pinball machine.
I really love pinball machines – they are certainly a relic of a bygone era, but they have endured nonetheless, becoming more and more extravagant over the years. Honestly, I’d love to own one, if only so I wouldn’t have to spend a lot of cash on them. The problem is that I would have to spend a lot more cash to buy the machine, especially if I wanted this newly revealed, official Dungeons & Dragons unit. The machine you can watch in the video below comes from Stern Pinball, “the largest pinball manufacturer in the world,” and it certainly looks impressive.
This is an official collaboration with Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast to continue the 50th anniversary of the TTRPG, which takes players on an “epic and thrilling journey into forgotten lands featuring iconic enemies including a red dragon, a gelatinous cube, a copycat, a lich Sammaster, the Xanathar watcher, the Owlbear, and locations including those in Faerûn such as Arabel and Westgate. Moreover, it features some eminent names from D&D, such as Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, and Marisha Ray from Critical Role, as well as Luke Gygax, the son of the game’s co-creator Gary Gygax.

However, the wildest member of the voice cast is certainly Gerard Way. Yep, apparently that Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance. No, I don’t know why he’s in it, but if you end up buying it, it’ll be fun to tell people that. And speaking of purchasing, you almost certainly won’t be able to do so because this thing is steep.
For the Pro version, you’ll have to shell out at least $7,000, but the Premium version bumps that up to $9,700. Even more are available in a constrained edition version, which is only available in 740 pieces and costs an absurd $13,000. Very nice pinball machine, guys, but I think I’ll pass on this one.
