The novel season of The Division 2 is a brilliant triple twist

The Division series is best known for its post-apocalyptic looter shooter set in an alternate timeline where society has collapsed due to a large-scale biological attack. From DivisionAfter the game’s release in 2016, Ubisoft’s developers tell a long story around a mysterious rogue agent. Division 2the latest update includes a twist that is so unbelievable and stupid that it amounts to being a work of genius.

In these games, the Strategic Homeland Division is a government agency set in society until a time of great disaster, at which point its members are activated as super cops aided by ISAC, a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence. In the first game, the player meets with the local division leader Faye Lau, they are both almost murdered, and then the player is authorized to start shooting and then looting through New York.

Between boss fights and collectible hunts, the player is introduced to a narrative thread that the Division is actually a bad idea for the emergency response team. Several of them have gone rogue, and the worst of them is a really bad egg named Aaron Keener. Keener remains a supporting character in the game’s story for some time, only appearing to tell us about the recent bioterrorism he was planning or all the good plans he was using.

The mystery grew over the years. I lost Division 2campaign, looking for any signs of his presence among my novel colleagues from the Faculty. One character, Agent Kelso, really looked like she was going to betray me. She even disappeared for a long time during a key mission and reappeared at a suspicious moment. However, none of my suspicions immediately came true and the main threat became the Black Fang paramilitary group.

Only expansion in 2020 The rulers of New York that players could finally face Keener. The expansion was full of twists and turns, such as Faye Lau murdering the president and framing the department for the crime in a shocking way. But players eventually had to fight Keener as a boss, so that’s it, right?

His NO no more. You’ve fallen right into Aaron Keener’s trap, you naive fool. It’s alive and kicking.

Ubisoft helpfully explained the novel status quo wa blog postwhich reads in part:

Year 5 Season 3 ended with a shocking revelation – Rogue’s number one agent and sworn nemesis of The Division, Aaron Keener, is alive. In her search for the truth, Agent Kelso located him and decided to join forces with him.

The line between lightweight and murky, agent and rogue continues to blur as we learn that Keener worked with Faye Lau to weaken the Black Fang and neutralize the threat of the Hunters during the events of Warlords of New York.

Keener is coming to Washington and has sent us an invitation to talk, but first we have to go through his twisted trials and prove that we are worthy. An alliance with Keener and his Rogues may be the key to stopping Natalia Falcon and the Black Fang. But what will the cost be?

Can Keener be trusted? Is the enemy of our enemy really our friend?

As someone who was up to date Division 2unfolding story, my reaction to reading this letter and learning this information was, “I’m sorry, what?” There are a lot of double crosses to sort out, especially as the line between lightweight and murky continues to blur!

I hear you asking, “Wait, if Keener is the boss in the game that players murder, didn’t the players see him die?” You fool. You absolute buffoon. Keener hacked ISAC, so basically looked as if he were dead. But he’s alive and now he wants to tell you his story true plan, if you can survive his Joker traps…

Sir, I’ve been trying to find you and talk to you for years, and I’m starting to think you’re just a sloppy, drama-loving bitch. On the other hand, the boldness of this innovative choice convinces me. WITH course Keener is a supergenius who faked his own death by hacking into your brain. Otherwise he’d just be a guy in a hoodie recording gloomy monologues for his friends to find, and that’s not very humorous.

Division 2The next update will include different content and fixes, and will allow players to access the endgame without making any purchases The rulers of New York. Many fans seem surprised by this Division 2 still receives updates, but Ubisoft has supported this game – and many of its other titles – with post-launch support for years. When this strategy leads to a story that trumps this brilliant one, I definitely support it.
