The No Rest for the Wicked’s The Breach update will be the first major update of 2025; and here’s our first look at it

Published:

Just before the end of last year, No Rest for Wicked developer Moon Studios apologized for the extended period of radio silence that followed the game’s Early Access launch and promised more regular communication with players throughout 2025.

This is part of the plan to release major recent content updates for the game throughout the recent year, and today the developer will lift the curtain a bit on the first of them.

The first major update for No Rest for the Wicked, which will arrive in 2025, is called Breach. The developer is calling it a “monumental” update and has released a stunning – and slightly terrifying – two-minute trailer.

It’s challenging to make much out of it, but it does seem to tease a recent region and what appears to be a large recent boss to face. Unfortunately, this is one of those teaser announcements, as the trailer is actually more of an introduction to the next Wicked Inside show, scheduled for March 11.

We will probably know the actual release date of The Breach then. The good news is that the update looks significant enough to deserve its own showcase rather than a regular blog post. So expect a deep dive into everything coming to the game with Breach.

Therefore, Moon Studios also promised to publish an updated roadmap at that time, which only bodes well. Even if it was unfinished – and it is – No Rest for the Wicked remains one of the most compelling genre-blending games of last year. It was one of my top three favorite games last year, and I’m certainly looking forward to what Moon has in store.
