The modern Sniper Elite: Resistance trailer shows off some chilling modern features

Published:

The rebels know better than anyone what satisfaction comes from being a Nazi. While it may not be particularly trailer-friendly, it’s safe and sound to say that we all know it’s the first thing everyone does when Sniper Elite: Resistance launches on January 30 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. The second thing you may want to do is enjoy some of the brand modern features Rebellion is introducing in this installment of the story-driven series, along with a fresh modern trailer that will give you a deeper look at all of them.

Of course, there’s a modern agent in the form of Harry Hawker – perfect alliteration – and a whole modern threat to defeat, plus you can enjoy shooting Nazis in any body part you choose, both solo and in online co-op. Bring a friend, then you can shoot Nazis in two places.

There are also modern propaganda missions that can be unlocked individually by discovering propaganda posters hidden throughout the main campaign. This modern game mode lets you play as a Resistance fighter in stimulating, fast-paced timed challenges that look really frigid.

This is currently the only aspect of the game we haven’t been able to check because Tef had direct contact with it at Gamescom ’24 and another event. He came away very impressed, calling it “stealth comfort food,” before continuing: “Sniper Elite: Resistance will deliver another dose of good venerable Sniper Elite action. It’s solid and reliable, and it’s always gruesomely entertaining to watch the series’ staple X-ray camera go off when you explode someone’s testicles from the other side of the map.

So there you have it. Watch the trailer, find your companion and get ready to shoot some Nazis on January 30, 2025.
