Today, January 23, Marvel Rivals has a major update. It’s called the Spring Festival, and if you like some quick fun in between regular superhero fights, there’s a modern mode here that you’ll definitely want to try.
Yep, stop writing out detailed instructions to give to your partner who you’re trying to turn into the best mainstream version of Venom that may or may not be flying off the shelves a lot, it’s time to kick the baskets to the top of the lantern in your dragon costume.

The Spring Festival kicked off in the game today, and while there are a few other things going on, the main thing that will catch your attention is a modern, limited-time game mode called Clash of Dancing Lions. Basically, as you can see in the trailer below, Iron Fist, Star-Lord and Black Widow let them play superhero football.
You’re competing to get the Lunar New Year lantern ball and you have to hit it into your opponent’s goal, knocking it straight into the net until you reach the score required to end the game and take home the trophy ball. This will facilitate you employ your abilities, jump in the air and perform some really devastating attacks, dealing regular damage to enemies.
The backdrop is Wakanda’s World Arena, which looks like a Rocket League pitch, complete with enormous glass fish tanks that prevent the ball from being thrown into space. Instead of sets, the festival brings three modern skins for the three dancing lions, so you can really get into the Lunar New Year spirit, and one – Star Lord’s Lion’s Mane – will be up for grabs “at no cost” during the event.
This update also includes the usual patch with the game changes you can expect, which was released yesterday and includes fixes for map issues and champion bugs. Yiu can fully check what has changed comments on corrections.
