Nintendo has revealed that Princess Zelda will be a playable protagonist in the newly announced game, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Instead of swinging the iconic Master Sword, Zelda wields the Tri Rod, a magical tool that allows her to replicate objects and creatures from the larger environment. Now Zelda can summon anything from a wooden table to a monster to explore the world, solve puzzles and fight.
Using materials in unexpected ways is nothing up-to-date for fans of The Legend of Zelda. If anything, sandbox elements Tears of the Kingdom We’ve already pushed this way of playing to the max. Everything from a pile of logs to frozen piece of meat they can be viable materials for building crazy devices. However, Echoes of Wisdom brings back the charm and humor of using unconventional tools to save Hyrule. First of all, it’s great to think about the princess aggressively saving Link from death, wielding only a chair and a kitchen table.
Now fans have filled the X with posts and fan art celebrating the heroine and her newfound set of magical powers. This first piece of art shows off the huge potential of ‘table power’, but you can keep scrolling to see more.
Based on the gameplay demo shown Tuesday, Zelda must first see and scan an item with the rod before she can play it. I don’t think there are any weapons in Hyrule, but that doesn’t stop fans from imagining what would happen if they managed to create one.
Part of the trailer showed Zelda carrying a sturdy rock, so much of the art reimagines the moment when the little princess lifts a vast boulder.
And if you like good elderly fashioned goofs and memes, well, there are plenty of them already. Here are two of the funniest ones we found.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on Nintendo Switch on September 26.
