In case you’re not in the loop, Zenless Zone Zero is set to have another major content update that takes us to the Outer Rim. To celebrate, HoYoVerse has released a great novel video to celebrate the event. It features the entire Sons of Calydon crew in all their glory, along with a shower scene to top it all off. Of course.
HoYoVerse has set quite the precedent for flashy cutscenes, not just outside of the game but also at key story moments. Usually action-packed and gorgeous, it’s one of the main benefits of keeping up with the game. It’s also recently started to get devastatingly peppery, kicking off the trend with Jane Doe’s various appearances on the game’s official channels.

Well, look. It’s no secret that a valuable card up the sleeve of video game companies is sex appeal, especially in the case of gacha games, whose daily bread comes from selling currency used in character banners. It’s also worth noting that in games like Zenless Zone Zero, the characters are the main draw for most players. Sure, gameplay is vital, as is the story and so on, but a character that really speaks to you can be the glue that keeps a long-time player attached to their favorite game.
If you’ve been away from Zenless for a while, as I admit, considering how busy the last month has been with releases, it’s always worth coming back for a gigantic update like this. Not only are they usually filled with novel quests, but it’s also worth catching up on the story. HoYoVerse has a lot going for it, but I think their writers are top-notch. Keep the twists coming!
