The latest Alien: Earth trailer doesn’t tell us anything other than that our planet is pregnant, but at least it offered a release window

Another trailer for Alien: Earth has been released to the world and there isn’t much to see, so let’s be thankful there’s a release window.

It seems that with each teased Alien: Earth announcement, we’re actually no closer to seeing the damn show. The first one mostly showed the titular Alien and Earth, and the latest one is so compact that you could honestly blink and miss it. This latest one, released earlier today, is almost a remix of the original, with the same shot of the Earth reflected in the titular xenomorph’s large aged chrome dome, although there is a voice actor in the trailer who delivers a very stupid joke: “In the year 2120, mother Earth “expects.” What do you expect? Well, the joke is a play on the whole pregnancy thing, but it’s actually an alien, which seems a little out of place in the rather gloomy tone of the show, but hey ho, I’m no marketing guy, what do I know?

The rest is glitchy shots of things that look alien that aren’t necessarily aliens and someone is screaming, so there’s really not much to glean from it, but there is one helpful detail: Alien: Earth Will Scream Summer 2025 on Hulu. All that was previously known was that it would be released next year, so that narrows it down, which is nice. In the meantime, we’ll just have to wait for the full trailer and a specific release date. Since this is premiering on Hulu, in the UK and other countries we can probably assume it will appear on Disney+, although I imagine you’ll need to turn off the family-friendly filter.

Alien has been doing quite well lately, and the latest installment of the Alien: Romulus series turned out to be enough of a hit to guarantees that the sequel will be greenlit. Perhaps somewhere along the way there will be another Alien vs. Predator, and the Predator series is also making a bit of a comeback – the next one, Badlands, will be released next year and will put the titular alien in the balmy seat.
