The Halo TV series is looking for a recent home after being canceled by Paramount+, so if you have a free streaming service in the trunk of your Warthog, get in touch

Apologies to fans of the Halo TV series, which was a bit controversial at one point but ultimately won over a lot of people. After two seasons, it’s set to be canceled by Paramount+, which has been its home until now. While that may sound a bit odd, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the end of the road.

According to Diversitythe series will not have a third season on Paramount, and its renaissance, which angered many people due to, among other things, the early showing of Master Chief’s face and buttocks, did not convince the streaming platform to stay the course.

Honestly, I think we’ve all gone a little overboard with the whole butt thing. We all have one, so why not have everyone’s favorite Spartan? Look, I know he’s a super soldier, but even they have to go sometimes. Otherwise, why would scrubbing latrines be something every recent recruit has to do in a war movie?

Either way, the Halo series has been canceled, but there’s still a glimmer of hope, as Variety reports that Xbox, Amblin TV, and 343 Industries will try to convince other media outlets to pick up the series so that a third season — and possibly more — can be made.

While it might be a tough sell, even with the show’s creators having some of Microsoft’s potential on their side, given that the show already has a group of executives who looked at it and said “okay, thanks,” video game adaptations as a whole are in a better position now than they were when the first Halo series aired.

Of course, the first example that comes to mind is the Fallout series on Amazon Prime, which has garnered quite rave reviews, been nominated for numerous awards, and helped generate a lot of interest in gaming among people who have no obligation to play through the entire New Vegas game at least once a year or their head will explode like they haven’t moved away from one of the famed Dead Money speakers.

Perhaps we’ll see more Halo series in the future, with or without the guest appearance of the sainted Master Cheeks.
