The fresh controller is intended to promote the recent Genshin Impact Version Luna III, “which features the new playable character Durin and fresh story updates in Nod-Krai.” Click the link above for detailed update and patch information.

As for the controller itself, Sony said in blog post that the designers worked closely with HoYoverse to create the project. It features “design elements inspired by Genshin Impact’s beloved adventurer twins and Paimon, celebrating years of adventure and companionship in Teyvat.” It has a white and gorgeous blue color scheme with gold and blue etchings on the handles, touchpad and D-pad. The face buttons also feature gold versions of established PlayStation shapes.

Functionally, it will be identical to all other PS5 DualSense controllers. It has haptic vibration feedback and adaptive triggers that can resist your strokes. It has a built-in microphone and speaker, and the built-in battery can be charged via the USB-C port. It is compatible with PS5, PC, Mac and mobile devices.

Sony says “select markets in Asia, including Japan” will receive the controller on January 21. In the rest of the world, including the US, the controller will have to wait about a month until the controller is released in these regions on February 25.
