- Troves are fresh in-game items representing goods and services from Upland’s virtual estates and structures.
- There is a dual system where most Troves are account-linked, but the tradable class enables the player’s economy.
Blockchain Upland’s metaverse, which focuses on city building, adds a fresh gameplay element called Troves. This feature aims to deepen the virtual experience by creating stronger connections between properties, structures and player goals.
Treasures serve as in-game items that represent the results of the services, goods, and cultural activities found within Upland area. Each Trove is associated with a specific structure. Cafes, fire stations, and markets are examples of buildings that generate these items. Players earn Troves by visiting these locations with their own Block explorer character.
Other activities, such as plant care, also bring Troves. The system is set for future expansions, with more methods of earning Troves expected later.
Troves in missions and player economy
These items are crucial to the quest mechanics. In-game characters known as Villagers will ask players for specific combinations of Troves. The request may include collecting coffee, milk and fire extinguishers. Completing these tasks allows the player to establish a connection with the Uppie character, which accelerates the development of the area.
A dual system governs Trove ownership. Most Troves are account-specific and cannot be exchanged between players. However, there is a separate category of treasures that can be traded. They can be sold or exchanged with other participants, creating a secondary economic layer and promoting strategic cooperation.
