The fresh Judas trailer shows off the game’s various environments

Ghost Story Games, founded by BioShock creator Ken Levine, has released a fresh, low trailer for the upcoming first-person shooter Judas. This little trailer shows the different environments of the Mayflower, the colony ship where the main character Judas lives. Mayflower is an environment filled with decades of change that Judah must navigate through various relationships that are challenging for her.

In the fresh Judas development diary, the team stated: “We placed her in a science fiction world, on a colony ship filled with robots – a futuristic setting that makes someone like her incredibly powerful. But it’s also a world where personal success depends on how well you can follow the rules, because defiance would lead to the failure of the mission. This makes her an outlaw, a pariah – a Judas. This tension at the heart of this character influenced everything about the game that we stopped seeing as an FPS and started calling her “Judas Simulator.” It all comes down to the basic idea of interacting with the world as Judas.

The Mayflower is divided into different sections: VIP pilgrim quarters, regular pilgrim quarters, and rapist quarters, each with its own distinct style. These styles show the divisions in society where citizens have degenerated into a fierce battle of constantly spying on each other and accusing each other of even the smallest crimes. Machines, not humans, control business, art, and government, and they are trying to turn humans into robot citizens.

Judas doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected to arrive on PC, Xbox Series XS, and PS5.
