Den of Wolves – the upcoming sci-fi game from studio 10 Chambers – came out of the cover and suddenly appeared at The Game Awards 2024. During the show, we saw a brand fresh gameplay trailer, as well as a tentative early access release date of 2025. At least we won’t have to wait until 2030 for this (although there are always delays…)
The trailer features some very intense action, a thrilling fresh track, and what feels like a brain dive where the laws of physics come to airy. All in all, this is a true sci-fi twist on the heist genre, which is what you can assume the team is going for.

For those who don’t know, 10 Chambers is the studio behind GTFO, an amazing co-op horror shooter that has built a committed and vocal community. Featuring many of the former Payday crew, the team seems to be going back to their roots a bit with Den of Wolves as they build on what they know while also recruiting a wave of fresh talent.
This is an electrifying prospect, especially since a gigantic portion of the wider Payday fanbase was unimpressed with Payday 3.
While we don’t have a release date yet, or much more than a vague launch window, the game remains a beacon of hope for first-person shooter heist fans looking to jump into something fresh. We keep our fingers crossed and we will receive more information in the near future.

If you want to read a bit about the game to pass the time, we have an interview from last year about the game’s musical approach, as well as an in-depth look at the sci-fi setting. We also have more interviews coming up in the next few days, so keep an eye on this space!
