It seems that Cyberpunk 2077 fans love a good board game. They love it so much, in fact, that the novel official game from CD Projekt and Go On Board—the cleverly titled Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game—not only surpassed its $100,000 crowdfunding goal that the campaign launched today, but also raised more than 10 times that amount.
As noted by many CD Projekt developers, it took the board game just 10 minutes and 4 seconds to collect $100,000, which is a truly impressive achievement, and at the time of writing, the total amount now it is at a nice level of $1,017,379.

That’s more than 1,000% of the funding goal—a concept that kind of blows my mind—from just over 6,300 backers. So what are these backers so eager to throw their whirlwinds at?
Well, Game description says that it: “brings the Cyberpunk 2077 experience to life and features key characters from the video game, including V, Judy, Panam, and Jackie.” “The cooperative, story-driven tactical action game gives 1-4 players the opportunity to explore a ‘what if?’ scenario that changes a key event from the video game, branching into a new story told across 13 distinct missions,” it adds.

The crowdfunding campaign, run via Gamefound, also included a number of extra goodies and bonuses that were unlocked if the game reached certain bonus goals, including a novel game mode, an additional weapon, a few miniatures, and a novel mission. All of which were, um, achieved, it’s protected to say.
In case you’re wondering, there are two versions of the game you can purchase/fundraise: the standard edition for $79 and the deluxe edition for $139 which boasts some extra features.
