Well, some of the creators of this project are creating something completely recent and unrelated to it Half-life. It’s called Unfair point and it is a cooperative tactical shooter with roguelite elements.
First released in 2012 after years of development, Black Mesa was initially a free mod that played most of it Half-life using the more powerful Source engine. The game was created by a immense group of fan modders known as Crowbar Collective. In 2015, after obtaining Valve’s consent, the team released a paid version of the mod. Finally in 2020The game has been updated to include all Xen levels and other improvements. Since then, people have been wondering what Crowbar Collective is working on next, and now we know.
On November 11, Team17 and Crowbar Collective were revealed first trailer Unfair point. Press release regarding Unfair point explains the game’s setup: After the death of the richest man in the world, his gigantic empire is ready for the harvest of my mercenaries and other companies. You are part of an independent and elite tactical group whose goal is to stop a threatening corporate war and the mercenaries involved in it.
Here’s the first trailer for the newly announced game:
Unfair point is a cooperative tactical shooter for four players built around planning and executing missions to complete runs. According to the developer’s Reddit response, each run is different and dynamically generated using hand-built assets and randomly selected items. This was also revealed by the AMA that the game will support solo players and offline play. Unfair point is created using Unreal Engine 4. As players complete missions and progress through a round, they will unlock recent skills and evolve their operator, similar to progression systems in other rogue-lite games.
“Like Black Mesawe want to heavily involve the community in our development and updates. Our community played a key role in early access to the game Black Mesa and having Team 17 as a partner Unfair point helps us focus on community development and feedback,” said Crowbar Collective CEO and Project Manager Adam Engels.
“We can’t wait to dive deep into the game and everything we’ve learned as we build the new IP, as well as transform Crowbar Collective into a full-time development studio.”
