The creator of No Rest for the Wicked may have been hushed for too long, but he will be back with a vengeance in January

No Rest for the Wicked is one of the most captivating releases of 2024. While it was rejected for many year-end awards, it remains an amazing title with an eclectic (and clever) mix of genres.

While developer Moon Studios released patches fairly quickly after launch, things have slowed down considerably since then. The developer also stopped communicating as regularly as it had post-launch, and with the news of his Private Division label closing, many began to worry about the fate of Moon Studios and the games.

However, we shouldn’t worry anymore, as the developer has just delivered some long-awaited news.

In a post celebrating the studio’s achievements in 2024 and looking forward to 2025, No Rest for the Wicked’s Moon Studios summarized many of the major fixes the game has received since Early Access launched in April. The post also indicated that communication decreased somewhat towards the end of the year.

The developer confirmed that work on The Breach and subsequent major updates to the game is ongoing. The even better news is that we won’t have to wait too long to find out what’s coming in the next installment of the action RPG.

“We know we’ve been silent – a lot has been happening at Moon Studios this year and we’ll be able to share it all soon!” Twitter entry reads.

After a break, Moon Studios will return with an announcement in January, and the developer has promised more habitual and consistent communication with players. 2025 could be the year No Rest for the Wicked truly gains mainstream attention with its anticipated co-op feature, novel story content, and multiple anticipated game expansions.
