After starting development in 2023, the Longson Technology 9A1000 graphics card is a step closer to the finish line. According to Chinese media IthomeThe development of 9A1000 has been completed and the graphics card will start the tape in the third quarter of this year.
9A1000 is the first Longson graphics card, which is a significant milestone for the Chinese manufacturer, which previously focused mainly on processors. The company positions 9A1000 as a basic graphics card that supports AI acceleration. That is why it does not compete in the same segment as Lisuan G100, another Chinese graphics card that allegedly competes with GeForce RTX 4060.

Although we have been aware of the 9A1000 for some time, we still do not know its exact specifications. Longson kept the details in compresses, only indicating that it offers a performance similar to Radeon RX 550, a card issued eight years ago. However, it is too early to call it a victory for Longson, because the manufacturer still has to assess 9A1000 after tapes.
The latest 9A1000 update indicates that Louongson apparently reduced the stream processor area by 20%. The manufacturer also claims that it has increased the working frequency of 9A1000 by 25%, while optimizing energy consumption during airy loads by 70%. In terms of set 9A1000, the API OpenGL 4.0 and OpenCl ES 3.2 supports the API.
According to Looongson 9A1000, it is up to 4x faster than LG200, an integrated graphic unit inside the 2K3000 processor. 9A1000 also provides up to 40 peaks of the AI computing power, which is slightly below NPU XDNA 2 AMD inside the Ryzen Ai Max+ (Codenamed Strix Halo) systems, which provide up to 50 peaks.
9A1000 is not the only graphics card on the Longson album. The company is also working on 9A2000, which, he claims, is up to 10 times faster than 9A1000, at performance levels comparable with GeForce RTX 2080 levels. There are also plans at 9A3000, observation of 9A2000, but there are no known specifications yet.
Although this may not be obvious immediately, many Chinese corporations and startups have entered the graphics card industry. However, many of these entities fail and then stop surgery. That is why we only hear news about more famed companies, such as Bilen, Moore Threads, and in recent years Longson and Lisuan Technology.
