Black Ops 6, latest entry in Call of Duty number, it contains some really weird and chilly cosmetics. And while some players hate them, it doesn’t look like the game’s developers will stop making them any time soon.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is one of the best installments of the series in years, with an action-packed campaign, amazing zombie mode, and a huge amount of multiplayer content. But the game, which was released in October, also includes a lot of crazy character skins, and these skins have become a controversial topic among gamers. Some people love crazy skins, like a shark man and various starswhile others despise these cosmetics and believe that they are destructive Call of Duty experience. So why are there all these crazy outfits in the game? (Well, apart from money, that is.)

In a up-to-date interview with DexertoMiles Leslie, associate innovative director at Black Ops 6 studio Treyarch, was asked about all these stupid cosmetics and explained that ultimately it’s about people having fun.

“Fun is always the most important thing to us,” Leslie explained. “Of course we want to stay embedded in the DNA that it creates Black operations the game is unique in its core gameplay, but we also like to break the rules if it maximizes the fun for players.

Leslie further suggested that Black operations the series “naturally lends itself” to more quirky items and skins, such as COD the subseries has always been more willing to create weird stories and have had more outlandish moments.

Call of Dutycampaigns will remain subdued

However, Leslie explained that the focus is always on realism and accuracy when developing campaigns.

“What’s cool is that because the story then transitions directly from the campaign to multiplayer throughout the post-launch seasons, we can now develop new looks and stories for these characters while also building the cast for both the Rogue Black Ops and Crimson factions.”

Leslie says the studio takes this “very seriously” and wants to continue telling stories with these characters post-launch, but admitted, “That doesn’t mean we can’t have some cosmetic fun along the way!”

Nowhere in Leslie’s response did the innovative director also add a second reason why Activision and Treyarch are adding more stupid skins that you have to buy to utilize them. So I’ll add below:
