A little over a month ago, minuscule No man’s sky the team held their breath as we pressed the button on the incredibly ambitious Voyager update. We put a lot of love into it for over a year, but we didn’t know what to expect. It’s been amazing for the team to see the response and see us reach our highest player count since launch over nine years ago. I really never thought this would happen. What a journey it has been.

Thanks to him, I relived some of my favorite moments from the last nine years. Standing in the Nexus and seeing these attractive, inventive sci-fi ships that other players have built. Just floating in space outside of your ship really appealed to players and provided those peaceful moments of peace that I love. We were immediately excited to work on the recent update!

Today, in our latest update, Breach, we’re introducing space wrecks to explore, letting you experience the thrill of spacewalking and giving players more reasons to enjoy it. Saving these wrecks unlocks a huge range of recent, highly requested shipbuilding parts. We’ve also improved and expanded ship building in response to seeing players spend a lot of time in the workshop designing their dream ships.

Breach also begins a quest where players travel through a desolate and desolate universe to discover what happened to a mysterious abandoned wreck. If you want to save the wreck of an ill-fated ship and add unique parts and modules to your shipbuilding workshop, you will need to travel to the edge of space.

Many such wrecks have begun to appear in the far reaches of space, and rewards await the bravest Adventurers prepared to search for them, including recent vertical and structural parts that allow players to build colossal ships, and uncommon, Atlas-themed glowing wings, engines and features.

Breach Expedition also brings players together to explore strange and uncommon solar systems with purple stars. The planets in these systems are especially captivating to explore because of their deeper oceans, incredible terrain, and volatile gas giants. Taking players to recent space wrecks, it’s a great way to salvage recent, uncommon ship parts while discovering a spooky story – just right for the Halloween season!

It’s been a crazy year for the No Man’s Sky team, and we’re very proud and pleased to be able to continue working on the game we all love so much, nine years after its release. Seeing so many people using Voyagers has really inspired us and we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for the future.

Our journey continues.
