The Black Ops 6 Double XP event will support you get through the holidays with novel modes and modified maps

Earlier this week, the highly anticipated Double XP event began in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on all platforms. This happens every year and 2024 is no exception.

The event grants double Soldier/Character XP, as well as double Weapon XP – although unfortunately this does not mean a double Battle Pass token for speed gain.

The Double XP event started on December 25 and will be energetic in Black Ops 6 until Friday, January 3, which means we’ll be able to earn more XP for over a week. It’s not bad at all. This all coincides, of course, with the holiday-themed updates the game received in the latest mid-season patch.

Season one of Reloaded introduced Nuketown Holiday to the map list, which is a snowy, festive variation of the classic multiplayer map. There are also two events available in the game: Merry Mayhem and Archie’s Festival Frenzy.

Many of the existing multiplayer modes in Black Ops 6 and even Warzone have been improved to give them a novel look for the holidays. In multiplayer, you’ll find a special version of Infected called Infectious Holiday, as well as some upgrades to the newly added Ransack to turn it into a Ran-Snack.

Warzone features Holiday Rush in Area 99 and the return of Slay Ride Resurgence in Urzykstan. Even Zombies are having some fun with the novel modified zombies in Liberty Falls. If you’ve ever played Zombies while on vacation, you know what to expect here.

This is also a good time to catch up on what’s novel in the Season One Reloaded update, like the novel Zombies map, novel weapons, and more – if you haven’t had time to do so lately.
