Battlefield 6 has been on the market long enough for the weapon meta to start to develop. However, things are snail-paced in this area, precisely because of how long it takes to level up and unlock weapons, not to mention even longer grind to unlock attachments for this weapon.
Still, for those without a life, we’ve picked out a few favorite weapons that you’re likely to come across the more time you spend in multiplayer. In this guide, we’ll discuss the best weapons in each category based on the current community consensus.

Since Battlefield 6 is just the beginning, many of the weapons we’ll include in this guide will be unlockable early. Players are still leveling and unlocking, so some of the more powerful overdue unlocks haven’t seen much exploit yet.
This is also obvious Just because a weapon is considered meta doesn’t mean it will necessarily work for you. Some of the weapons you enjoy using may not be popular with other players, which is completely fine.
Of course, the meta is constantly evolving, so we’ll update this guide as novel options replace the current trim. Now let’s dig deeper the best guns and metaweapons in Battlefield 6.
The best weapons and meta-weapons in Battlefield 6
The ultimate assault rifle
Although it is available from the beginning, M433 remains a top-tier assault rifle even as you start unlocking other options. The M433 deals constant damage at a distance. However, when you first start using it, you may notice that it has a bit more recoil than you might expect from a starting option.
In Battlefield 6, assault rifles are the specialty of the assault class. All classes can exploit them freely in open weapon playlists, but the Assault class gains certain benefits that no other class has access to.
We have prepared three equipment/weapon configurations for the M433 that suit different playstyles and take into account your level of weapon proficiency. Definitely check out these recommendations before you build your own.
As you spend a little more time playing the game, you’ll discover that there are more fascinating options available in the Assault Rifle category. For an alternative choice, we recommend B36A4. This is one of the most correct weapons in the game and will definitely be an upgrade if you tend to fight at distances longer than 100 meters.
The B36A4 It unlocks at level 14 and even in its most basic form is a solid option. It allows you to challenge players at range without sacrificing too much melee damage, although its fire rate leaves a bit to be desired. Here’s a good load you can go with:
- Optical: Any 2.00X reticle of your choice
- The best accessory: Red laser with a power of 5 MW (10 pcs.)
- Barrel: Extended 510MM Fluted (15P)
- Mouth: Converter comp. linear (10P)
- Under the barrel: Aluminum vertical holder (20 pcs)
- Warehouse: Stock 36RND (15 pcs.)
- Ammunition: Lightweight polymer case (10 pcs)
The best carabiner
Rifles are one of three weapon categories in Battlefield 6 available to all classes. The other two are DMR and Shotguns. As a result, they do not benefit from any specific class proficiency. The first carbine available is M4A1and remains one of the most popular options at this stage of the meta.
The M4A1 it’s consistent in almost every area and can basically do anything – though it doesn’t excel in any one area. As you’ve noticed, firing your weapon in automatic mode beyond 50 yards can get you into trouble, so tap the “Fire” button instead.
We’ve prepared three M4A1 weapon builds to suit different playstyles and how far you are in the weapon unlock tree. Click the link to see the full equipment list.
For update options, M277 this is a killer choice. It’s certainly one of the coolest weapons (in terms of appearance) in the game, but it’s also one of the most damaging rifles. It is also available quite early in your career (level 11), which makes it an excellent option.
The M277 it’s incredibly correct to start with, but its only drawback is its default 21RND magazine. It is a threat at close range due to its high damage, and at range it outperforms more correct rifles/ARs due to its incredible accuracy and RoF combo. Here’s our favorite gear set:
- Optical: Any 3.00X reticle of your choice
- The best accessory: Red laser with a power of 5 MW (10 pcs.)
- Barrel: Extended 16″ rifle (15 pcs.)
- Mouth: Brightened muffler (30 pcs)
- Under the barrel: Folding Stubby (20P)
- Warehouse: Fast warehouse 20RND (10 pcs)
- Ammunition: Standard FMJ (5P)
The best LMG
LMGs shine when used by a Support player thanks to the buffs they receive. As mentioned, all classes can equip an LMG if you’re playing in an open weapon playlist, but perhaps more than any other weapon category, Really should stick to the class for which the LMG is intended.
The DRS-IAR is the weapon of choice here because it is essentially an assault rifle masquerading as an LMG. This means that support players benefit from treating it like AR, but also all the benefits of using the LKM. For all other classes, DRS-IAR it’s basically an M416 with a little more ammo.
Basically, it offers many of the typical advantages of assault rifles without many of the disadvantages of LMGs, and since it can be unlocked early (level 9), it’s an basic recommendation. For your equipment we will specify DRS-IAR as an assault rifle. Here’s what we’re dealing with:
- Optical: Any 2.00X reticle of your choice
- The best accessory: Red laser with a power of 5 MW (10 pcs.)
- Barrel: Heavy, extended 20” SDM-R (10 pcs.)
- Mouth: Flash hider (10)
- Under the barrel: Aluminum vertical holder (20 pcs)
- Warehouse: Stock 36RND (15 pcs.)
- Ammunition: Penetrating tungsten core (5P)
If you’re looking for a more conventional gigantic LMG, start with this one L110 remains a very powerful option even this far into the game. It’s correct, has more than enough ammo to start with, and its fire rate straddles the line between too speedy to control and too snail-paced to be relevant.

The best submachine gun
Our first recommendation goes to an excellent all-rounder SGXwhere all players start.
The SGX it doesn’t deal much damage, but what it lacks in damage per bullet it makes up for with an excellent rate of fire that can be controlled even at distances of over 100 meters. The SGXThe range can be increased with heavier barrels, but you should stick to fights below 100M.
We have two great loadouts for SGX that you should check out to see what features you should focus on when building your own build.
The Engineer class’s favorite weapon in Battlefield 6 is the submachine gun. They are often basic to exploit, offer a decent rate of fire (for the most part), and don’t carry much of an ADS penalty. They perform well at brief distances, which makes them an attractive option on smaller maps.
Therefore, it’s very likely that you’ll come across players of all classes playing with SMGs (in Open Gun playlists), even if only Engineers are able to get the most out of them.
Without a doubt, the second meta submachine gun in Battlefield 6 right now is one that does the opposite of our first choice. We are talking about, of course PW5A3which itself is an early unlock, available at level 6.
The PW5A3 it provides high accuracy, partly due to its low rate of fire, but as you’ll soon see, you shouldn’t count it out for that. This submachine gun remains a viable option at closer ranges too, thanks to its tight hip-fire cone that will effectively please anyone. Our favorite gear set is below:
- Optical: Basic sights (5 pcs.)
- Barrel: Extended 245mm, Custom (15 pcs)
- Mouth: CQB silencer (30 pcs.)
- Under the barrel: Aluminum vertical holder (20 pcs)
- Warehouse: Stock 40RND (25 pcs.)
- Ammunition: Standard FMJ (5P)
The best sniper rifle
Depending on the map and mode, sniper rifles can be a threat in Battlefield 6. Don’t be surprised if half of your team switches to sniping when Mirak Valley or New Sobek Town are in the rotation.
As a result M2010 remains a great option no matter how high your career level is. If you’re not sure where to start, check out the M2010 Weapons Packs, which include two different sniper rifle models.
The Scout class is the one that benefits most from using the sniper rifle, but anyone in the open playlist of the weapon is free to exploit it as long as they are aware of the drawbacks. Unfortunately, all three sniper rifles currently in the game are almost identical.
