Her ability to shock targets in rapid succession and greatly amplify its effect makes Grace the best Anomaly agent in Ground Zero without Zen and the cornerstone of many of the league’s best teams.
But the above can also make her one of the most complex builds in the game. Ultimately, should you dedicate yourself solely to Anomaly Mastery and Proficiency, or should you pay close attention to your other stats? To lend a hand you charge the battlefield with energy, here is Grace’s best build in Ground Zero without Zenand several bands that will surely allow her to showcase her full skills.
Best W-engines for Grace at Zenless Ground Zero
As with all S-Ranker models, the top W engine for Grace in Ground Zero without Zen is her trademark Fusion CompilerIn addition to a base Attack of 684 and a PEN stat of 24% at level 60 (the latter of which affects anomaly damage), the S-Ranker rank gains its status by granting itself both a 12% ATK escalate and the ability to gain 25 Anomaly Proficiency points for each Special or EX Special performed (can be activated three times, for a 75 escalate).
The latter is the star here, as the budget-friendly and easy-to-combo Special Grace will allow you to launch all of your separately-billed stacks almost instantly. All of the above values are tied to the W-Engine at one star.
If her signature is not an option for you, you can employ the BP-exclusive offer Electro-Lip Gloss would be my main choice. The Engine will offer a base attack escalate of 594 and 75 Anomaly Proficiency at level 60. When equipped, A-Ranker will also allow Grace to deal 15% more damage to targets affected by Shock, and will also receive a 10% ATK buff as long as there is an enemy on the field affected by an Attribute Anomaly. All of the above values are based on an Engine on a single star.
Best F2P W-Engine
For those who haven’t yet earned any of our top picks, and with a 75x escalate in Anomaly Mastery at level 60, Rainforest Gourmet is the best F2P W-Engine for Grace at one star. If you can upgrade it to at least three stars, Crying Twins will become my main F2P choice.
At said rarity, Weeping Gemini will allow Grace to gain a 38 Anomaly Proficiency boost after an enemy is affected by Attribute Anomaly. The effect can be triggered up to four times for a total of 152 boost, with each stack calculated separately. Grace will lose stacks when the associated enemy is defeated or recovers from a stun.
Best Drives for Grace in ZZZ
As an Anomaly main/sub-DPS, Grace will need all the Anomaly Proficiency and Mastery you can get. To give her that, I believe the best Drive Discs for her are ZZZ to be 4-Piece Freedom Blues meets 2-Piece Swing Jazz.
While the 4-piece set will escalate Grace’s Anomaly Proficiency by 30 and allow her to reduce enemies’ resistance to energy buildup by 20% after hitting them with her EX Special Attack, Swing Jazz’s 20% Energy Regen Boost will escalate the availability of her EX Special and ensure she always has it on hand. Combining Freedom Blues with a 2-piece Puffer Electro (increases PEN rate by 8%) or Thunder Metal (increases Electric damage by 10%) can also work if you want to double the damage.
Top stats and recommended substats
To further escalate Grace’s ability to turn on Shock, as well as her damage, I recommend picking up Anomaly Proficiency for the fourth disk partition, Electric DMG for the fifth, and Anomaly Mastery for the sixth. In terms of stats, focus primarily on Anomaly Proficiency. Trying to get at least 40% CRIT Rate and 80/100% CRIT DMG can also lend a hand if you want to escalate her non-effect based damage, although it is not necessary.
Grace’s Best Bands in Zenless Zero
As a shock-focused DPS unit, the best team for Grace in Ground Zero without Zen Anton is the primary DPS, with Rina as his support. In the field, this team will allow you to fully utilize Grace’s kit thanks to Anton’s ability to gain buffs based on and escalate the incidence of shock damage. Rina, on the other hand, will allow you to escalate the duration of the effect by three seconds and the entire team’s shock damage by 10% as long as a shocked enemy is on the field.
If you don’t have Rina, I recommend using Anba instead, as she can apply similar levels of Anomaly buildup while also dealing massive amounts of stun with Thunderbolt and her EX Special Attack. Using Koleda as a Stun unit can also work well, as she will offer the team a game-changing up to 70% Chain Attack DMG.
Which Bangboo should you choose?
Since all of Grace’s teams will revolve around the Shock anomaly effect, his ability to apply massive amounts of electrical anomaly buildup makes Plug best choice for all of them. With its ability to perform the same role as our top pick, albeit at a lower output, the A-Ranker Electro-face will be my second choice.
