Terminator: Survivors Early Access Delayed to 2025

Developer Nacon has announced that its open-world co-op game Terminator: Survivors has been pushed back from its original October Early Access release date.

Studio announced a change in schedule on its official X/Twitter account, revealing that the Early Access version of Skynet survival will no longer be released on October 24th. It has been pushed back to an unspecified date in 2025, with Nacon citing a desire to meet fan expectations. The company admits that the news will be disappointing for those who were planning to play another Terminator game this Halloween, but is confident in its decision, saying, “In the long run, we believe this is the right decision.”

“We’ve been blown away by your enthusiasm and amazed by the response to our announcements over the past few months, and we know how eagerly fans are waiting for Terminator: Survivors,” the studio said. “To execute our vision and ensure we deliver a game that meets your expectations, we need a little more time. That’s why we’re moving the launch to 2025.”

Terminator: Survivors Announced in 2022 as a ruthless multiplayer game set just after the events of the apocalyptic Judgment Day, but before John Connor forms his Skynet resistance group. Additional details emerged in February of this year, revealing a project that will see players scavenging across a devastated open world with up to three friends, battling both hostile humans and ruthless Terminators.

“The action takes place in an unexplored timeline of the Terminator universe,” original director Marco Ponte said earlier this year, “with a completely original storyline featuring both established and new characters, and will explore the origins of John Connor’s resistance.”

We haven’t seen much of Terminator: Survivors , and today’s delay means the wait for more just got longer. In the meantime, you can catch up on the upcoming anime adaptation, Terminator Zero. He is set to be released on August 29, 2024, but was recently involved in huge Netflix animation leak.
