25% off one board game at Target

We’ve added the most popular board games above (just swipe sideways), but we’ve also picked out our favorites below, along with details on why you should add them to your growing board game collection.

Wingspan

Wingspan with Swift Start games package

We haven’t seen any deal Wingspan at all in 2024 to the present. Target has it for $39.74 after applying the 25% off coupon. This Stonemeier game was first released in 2019, but we still consider it one of the best board games to play in 2024. Wingspan is deceptively elementary, yet a game that can be played endlessly, with each subsequent playthrough you will develop and perfect recent strategies. In our Wingspan review, Matt Thrower writes: “As you might guess, Wingspan is a moderately complex game, certainly more so than most of its more successful peers. However, the game’s success clearly shows that its stunning elements and attractive theme are enough to make many players decide to play the game, and once they get there, they are captivated by the immersive and addictive strategies on offer.”

Wingspan is a very accessible game for casual players and enthusiasts alike. Its design is gorgeous, featuring over 170 detailed bird illustrations by Elizabeth Hargrave, adorable board backgrounds, and cute little tokens and egg miniatures. The rules are basic to follow and each game lasts about an hour, so you won’t have to spend a lot of time playing.

Splendor

Splendor

Splendor

Another excellent game worth mentioning in this sale is Splendorwhich after applying the 25% off coupon is $17.99. Splendor is a 2014 release that is still considered one of the best board games for all skill levels, and is priced lower than most other board games aimed at the same audience. There is plenty of strategy here, but at the same time the rules are not daunting and the average game time is a very reasonable 30 minutes. This quick game is basic enough for kids to learn, but rewarding for players of all ages, making it a good board game for families.

Ticket to Ride: Europe

Ticket to Ride: Europe

Ticket to Ride: Europe

Ticket to Ride, one of the few hobby board games to go fully mainstream, is a breathtaking success story. It combines familiar concepts with players collecting cards, like a game of rummy, to try to get matching routes on the map. It’s a great game for all ages, works well as a two-player board game or with a group, and has spawned numerous spin-offs and expansions. Right now, Ticket for a ride around Europe this is the best deal at Target. This edition changes the board to a beautifully illustrated Europe and introduces recent elements such as tunnels, ferries and train stations to escalate strategic depth. This is a standalone edition and does not require the base game.

The pandemic and the legacy of the pandemic

The base game of Pandemic and all three seasons of Pandemic Legacy are eligible for the 25% off coupon at Target, although currently Season 2 this is the best deal at only $40.49. In Pandemic Legacy, you and your friends work together to cure diseases. Building on the success of the original Pandemic, these recent editions introduce “legacy” concepts to the game that add and remove elements as you progress through the game, based on your decisions, successes, and failures. After a few plays, your copy will be a unique record of your group’s style and experience. So in addition to offering a very personal story that will draw you in, Pandemic: Legacy also individualizes your strategic experience.

Azul

Azul

Azul

You can pick up a copy Azul for $23.99 when you apply a 25% off coupon. Many board games are about mystery or war, but Azul is completely different. Players in Azul compete to design the most handsome tile mosaic they can. In our Azul review, Matt Thrower writes: “Between its handsome presentation, simplicity, and depth, there is no doubt that Azul has earned its place as a current classic. While the tinkering with its formula undertaken in its sequels has created more challenging games, none have captured the perfect blend of accessibility and interactivity that makes it unique.”

The quacks of Quedlinburg

The quacks of Quedlinburg

The quacks of Quedlinburg

Much like the potentially explosive potions players brew in the game, The quacks of Quedlinburg managed to condense chaos into a surprisingly unique tabletop experience. The award-winning board game has been compared to the Mario Kart series for its utter madness, accessible gameplay, and the fact that Quacks’ inventive rules (and sometimes dumb luck) can catapult players from the basement to the front of the pack. a moment of attention. There are also a few expansions to this game that are worth taking a look at.
