Super Monkey Ball is one of those series that has an accidentally huge fan base that you rarely hear about. One of those fans is my wife, who doesn’t like video games at all, but definitely love Super Monkey Ball Games. She played the original Super Monkey Ball on Gamecube obsessively and talks about it every time we talk about games. So naturally, when I heard that Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble was on sale, I immediately bought it.
Honestly, I’m a fan of these games too and really want to play them. While I couldn’t bring myself to pay full price for any of the games on Switch, the $34.99 price tag seems right.

While I haven’t had the pleasure of playing Banana Rumble myself yet, I read the review of the game on IGN and it convinced me that it’s definitely worth a playthrough. With an impressive 200 tracks across 20 worlds, we’ve come to the conclusion that this is classic Monkey Ball at its best. Our own Nintendo expert, Logan Plant, got to try out the game himself and here’s a quick excerpt of his thoughts in our review:
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble released just last month on June 25th, and this is the first and biggest discount we’ve seen for the game. This is especially surprising after the rather mediocre showing of Prime Day Switch deals earlier this week. If you were hoping to grab this game on a discount, now’s the time to do so.
