Suikoden fans are joyful with the Anime Suikoden 2 … and a completely up-to-date mobile game Gach

Published:

At the beginning of this week, Konami treated classic RPG fans for something special: a live stream completely dedicated to Suikoden. The franchise lacked a up-to-date entry since the story of the Japanese and only PSP more than a decade ago, so expectations about what they would entail. So with an unusual mix of feelings, fans met with the ads of the Suikoden (Yay!) And a completely up-to-date Suikoden video game … for a mobile phone (okay, clear!). With gach mechanics (oh no!).

Let’s start with anime, which is simply entitled Suikoden: The anime. It is based on Suikoden 2 events and will be the first production of Konami animation. We I didn’t really get much of what it looks likeWe have not learned any details about whether it will be basic to access Japan. Everything we got is a brief clip of the scenery:

However, this is an stimulating message for Suikoden Umas-Hards and a pre-cool entry point for Suikoden newcomers, if the anime becomes widely available.

The second enormous advertisement makes fans feel a bit more conflicted. A completely up-to-date game was announced, entitled Suikoden Star Leap and looks really lovely, from the 2D Sprites octopus on the background of 3D. Apparently this takes place a few years before Suikoden 1 and a few years after Suikoden 5, and includes conventional 108 characters, like other Suikodens.

However, it is released … on a mobile phone. And seemingly nothing else. Only this may not discourage die -hard fans of Suikoden, but we also learned that Star Leap will have gach mechanics and continuous monetization. This is quite disappointing the inclusion in a series of games, which historically existed only in premium games released on the console and computer, but we will have to wait and see if monetization decisions stop the possibility of enjoying the game or collecting all 108 characters.

In the meantime, Suikoden fans may settle for re -release of Suikoden 1 and 2 via Suikoden I and II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. During the live event, a up-to-date trailer of this collection was also shown and is officially released tomorrow, March 6.
