Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League just got its latest update, which, along with the promised offline mode, adds an official conclusion to the game’s story that wraps things up in a neat, if rather uninteresting, way.
As previously announced, Episode 8: Balance is the final update planned for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In addition to up-to-date weapons and exotic weapons, the biggest feature of the update is the up-to-date offline mode, which will allow players to continue playing Suicide Squad on their own, without the need for an internet connection.
We remind you that episode 8 will be the last update #SuicideSquad game. The title will be playable in both online and recently released offline modes, so players can continue to wreak havoc on Metropolis 💥

The offline mode was announced in December 2023 as part of Rocksteady’s post-launch plans, but the studio also committed to releasing promised DLC and additional characters, leaving the offline mode in place until its final update.
There’s also a massive comic book ending that sums up the Suicide Squad story: Kill the Justice League, so if you don’t mind spoilers you can read below the break. You have been warned.
OK, so Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, as the name suggests, is about eliminating the members of the Justice League who have been brainwashed by Brainiac. One of the biggest shocks in the game was the moment when Harley Quinn shoots Batman right in the head.
However, Batman was actually still alive. In a masterful gesture, he allowed Brainiac to create clones of the Justice League, and then oversaw the events of the game from the shadows, working to secretly defeat Brainiac.
The ending is told through comic book illustrations, where you can see that the various post-premiere episodes have been presented in true comic book fashion, all your favorite characters are still alive, and the bad guys have been defeated. Woo-hoo.
Is this how Rocksteady imagined the end of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League? Who can say. The game released to mixed reviews, and Warner Bros. stated that it did not meet expectations in terms of sales, and the developers announced that they were ending future updates of the game after Season 4.
