Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch has been forced to reverse its decision to remove older XP tokens from the game after a very massive outpouring of backlash and criticism from fans. Following the launch of Season 1 on Thursday, players noticed that the Black Ops 6 multiplayer menu screen had been updated to allow them to exploit XP tokens accumulated from Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. It was assumed this was intentional, but 24 hours later they were gone.
Following the playlist update, Treyarch stated that it had “fixed an issue that incorrectly allowed older XP tokens to be activated in the Black Ops 6 UI.” These legacy XP tokens are exactly the same as what you can earn with the fresh Battle Pass in Black Ops 6, and double the amount of XP you earn, Weapon Tier XP, or Battle Pass Progress, depending on which one you activate in 15 , 30, 45 and 60-minute increments.
They allow you to level up faster, get better perks faster, and unlock fresh cosmetics faster, so they have a powerful application in the game. Due to their sudden removal, Treyarch was hit with a massive wave of criticism, which led to the loss of much of the goodwill accumulated by their unexpected inclusion. In a post to TwitterIt has been claimed that older XP tokens appearing in Black Ops 6 constitute a “UI bug” and “introduce some potential risks to game stability.” Players have not reported any issues activating older XP tokens and playing the fresh Season 1 maps. Despite this, the developer is “currently testing how to properly implement” older XP tokens into the game.
Until this update is available, you will still be able to activate older XP tokens for exploit in Black Ops 6. If you load Warzone, activate the XP tokens you have, and then return to Black Ops 6 multiplayer, you will still receive your XP bonuses regardless. how long they remain lively.
