Many players have complained that the edition map screen is overheating PS5 consoles.

Quite busy Reddit Post Reports problem:

I play a game based on PS5 and generally works great – the graphics are stunning and I had no problems during regular gameplay. But as soon as I stop the game and the map screen appears, the fan suddenly goes into overdrive and I get a warning about overheating. This is strange because everything else works smoothly, even during long game sessions. But when I call the map and start planning the route, the fan suddenly went crazy and I have a overheating warning. I recently cleaned the console and it is in a well -ventilated place, so the air flow should not be a problem.

The recent patch has recently been released, but it does not sound as if it solved the problem, and this particular user does not sound as if he was alone.

“I have exactly the same problem,” one player regretted. “I use the original PS5 digital version. Fans start shouting only in the map menu.”

It seems that the problem is isolated on the basis of PS5, with PS5 Pro persists better. Perhaps it is worth mentioning that the weather has been particularly balmy recently in some parts of Europe and America, so it can also be a factor.

But it is possible that there is a memory leak or other problem. It seems that the menu works with an unlocked number of frames per second, so it can be digging fans with overflow and causes the console overheating.

One user suggested sending a detailed report on errors to the Kojima Productions programmer, so he has more information to work and can quickly release a correction. It sounds like a wise idea.
