Stellar Blade will receive the Nier: Automata DLC next week

Stellar Blade will receive the long-awaited Nier: Automata downloadable content on November 20 as part of a larger update that also includes Photo Mode.

AND Blog about PlayStation a post from Stellar Blade developer Shift Up said, “Nier: Automata has significantly inspired Stellar Blade,” and the DLC is “characterized by mutual respect and creativity” between game directors Yoko Taro and Kim Hyung Tae, respectively.

A handful of screenshots showed the main character of Nier: Automata 2B in the world of Stellar Blade alongside the iconic yet quirky Emil. “Emil’s Shop is making a surprise appearance in the world of Stellar Blade, with 11 different special collaboration items available,” the post reads. “Items that combine the best of both games, leading to a more enriched world.”

The November 20 update will also feature the aforementioned Photo Mode, which allows players to pose with Starblade characters and dress them in different clothes to capture the perfect shot. The update will also include four recent costumes and one recent accessory (Legacy Symbol), as well as the ability to completely remove Eve’s ponytail.

In terms of audio, players will soon be able to select the song they want to listen to on the camp record player. There will also be lip sync support for French, Spanish, Spanish, Italian, German and Latin American Portuguese.

In addition to Nier: Automata, the action game Stellar Blade draws inspiration from Alita: Battle Angel, 1980s and 1990s science fiction, and the taxi drivers’ strike, according to director Hyung Tae. It has already enjoyed several other post-launch updates, including one that added a boss challenge and recent outfits.

In our 7/10 review, IGN stated: “Stellar Blade is great in every respect for an action game, but dull characters, a lackluster story, and some frustrating RPG mechanics keep it from quickly rising to the level of the best in its genre.”

In July, Shift Up raised 435 billion won ($320 million) on the first day of trading after its initial public offering. According to Bloombergwhich was the biggest result in the country for a gaming company since 2021, when PUBG maker Krafton Inc. raised $3.8 billion from its own public offering.

The company’s success was driven by the launch of the PS5-exclusive Stellar Blade, which sold over a million copies and could spawn a sequel and a PC version, as well as the popular mobile game Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
