Published:

  • Affordable wired headset with high-quality sound.
  • The Stealth LED Panther is affordable and exactly what you’d expect from a gaming headset.
  • RGB lights are minimalist but give enough delicate to stand out.

I tried out the Stealth LED Panther headset and I’m delighted to have found my next gaming rig. I’ve had dozens of headphones, headsets, and even in-ears in my life, but when it comes to something reliable, when I’m playing games like Path of Exile or League of Legends, I need to hear every single sound. That’s usually how I know I’ve found a good one.

In this review, I will tell you all about my experience using the Stealth LED Panther headset along with its pros and cons. Yes, there are a few minuses from me, but for the most part I am very joyful with them.

A comfortable headset for long gaming sessions

I spent the entire weekend using headphones and playing Path of Exile and never once experienced any discomfort. The material fits well on the ears – it is tender and isolates sound perfectly. It’s almost like having sound-cancelling headphones – it’s simply the best solution when playing games where sound is so vital because it doesn’t allow any external distractions.

As for the overall design, I’m satisfied. The Stealth LED Panther headset looks good and has a minimalist design enhanced by a recent RGB delicate strip around the ear cups. Apart from that, I really like the arrangement of the buttons.

The buttons allow for really uncomplicated control without additional applications

I believe there are two types of people: those who have their headphones at maximum volume and adjust everything else with the app, or those who have the app volume maxed and adjust the volume with the headphones. I’m one of those people who likes to adjust everything with my headphones, and being able to do that here is a large deal.

I don’t want to change tabs mid-gaming session, so for everyday employ I would opt for the volume and other controls integrated into the headset.

The microphone is great, but I’m not a fan of the fact that it’s not removable. Sometimes I just want to relax and listen to the news or watch a movie without a microphone in my face. If you want to eat or drink while wearing the headset, it’s not very comfortable, so it’s not ideal in my opinion. However, if this doesn’t bother you, there are many more things that will compensate for this tiny “inconvenience”.

Even though I’m a fan of wireless/Bluetooth headphones, the Stealth LED Panther headset has a long enough cable (1.20 m) to allow for freedom of movement. And something else that I think is vital is that the cable is strong, which means you won’t have connectivity issues after a while. Do you know when you have to start twisting the cable to get both speakers to actually play? Yes, I don’t think you’ll have that problem with them.

As for sound, it works and sounds great. The voice is clear when you’re chatting on Discord with friends or during a podcast (my wife used it for our weekly Pocket Gamer podcast and was very joyful with it), so I’d say it’s a reliable and affordable peripheral to employ for podcasts as well.
