Starfield Update 1.14.70 will coincide with the release of Shattered Space

Published:

The Shattered Space expansion for Starfield is now available, and Bethesda has released update 1.14.70 to get the space RPG ready.

The patch notes have been shared further X/Twitter and cover the main Starfield, not just its expansion. While some of the points are pretty standard and include “overall performance and stability improvements,” others are more pleasant. For example, “Autumn Macmillan no longer repeats herself when asking about her sister.”

Also fixed are countless bugs related to missions such as Brownout, Due In Full, Eye Witness, Hostile Intelligence, In Memoriam, and many others. Bethesda has also made many changes to specific areas of the game, improving textures and more.

The Shattered Space expansion arrived today, September 30, and adds a slice of recent story to the sci-fi RPG. According to the official synopsis, players will be able to “travel to the home world of House Va’ruun for the first time, explore a hand-crafted new location, and uncover the mysteries surrounding the followers of the Great Serpent.”

Those who are frustrated by the base game’s over a thousand, mostly abandoned planets will also be relieved to hear that Shattered Space never sends players off-planet. “You can leave the film at any time, but the story is entirely focused on life in the home world of Va’ruun,” lead original producer Tim Lamb said in September.
