IN post on a blogUbisoft has confirmed that the Star Wars Outlaws Season Pass will feature content split across three launch windows. On launch day, Season Pass owners will gain access to the Character Pack and the previously confirmed exclusive Jabba’s Gambit mission. The Star Wars Outlaws Season Pass courted controversy earlier this year when Ubisoft revealed it was locking the Gambit mission Jabba Above behind the Season Pass. However, Ubisoft insisted that Jabba the Hutt will be available to all players, not just Season Pass owners.
More interestingly, Ubisoft has confirmed that two DLC story expansions will be released in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, respectively. The first story pack, titled Wild Card, will see Outlaw protagonist Kay “hired to infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc tournament.” This DLC story pack will also cross paths with Star Wars character Lando Calrissian.
The second story DLC, titled A Pirate’s Fortune, will see Kay encounter a seasoned pirate named Hondo Ohnaka, who Ubisoft described as someone “looking to settle old scores with a ruthless band of pirates.”
In our recent hands-on review of Star Wars Outlaws , my colleague Ryan McCaffrey wrote, “Open-world games have a tendency to be jacks of all trades but masters of none, and while I’m not sure Outlaws masters any one gameplay element, it not only does them all very well, but does so with a convincing Star Wars sheen.”
Star Wars Outlaws launches on August 27 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. For more, check out our June IGN First coverage, which includes 10 minutes of exclusive gameplay and our article on how Ubisoft created an entirely fresh canon world for Star Wars: Outlaws.
