Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles gives Jar Jar Binks his moment.

Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles was originally released in 2000 and featured more than a few playable characters. Some obvious faces that appeared were Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn, but there were also some deeper versions like Plo Koon and Adi Gallia. Although Jar Jar plays a significant role in The Phantom Menace, the hero Gungan was not originally available to control in the game. This will finally change this month.

Aspir announced the revival of the Star Wars prequel delayed last year, revealing plans to bring the nearly 25-year-old video game to current audiences with several recent features. The most critical are changeable lightsaber colors and code support. It’s a bag full of upgrades for fans of the original version and sci-fi fans in general, with the addition of Jar Jar to sweeten the deal even more. Aspyr also teases “more surprises” waiting for players, although it’s unclear what exactly it has in store.

Star Wars, Episode I: Jedi Power Battles will be released on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S Jan 23 for $19.99.
