Sports Interactive has announced that it has signed an agreement with soccer’s governing body FIFA for the first time, which will impact international governance in Football Manager 26 and beyond. This includes adding the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women’s World Cup and FIFA Club World Cup to the game at a later date as part of the International Management content update due next year.
Sports Interactive studio director Miles Jacobson said: “The reveal of the partnership with FIFA is an incredibly historic moment for the studio. With the start of the World Cup year, revamping International Management and making it a much more feature-rich module for our players has been vital. To be able to do this with the support of FIFA with an official license that provides us with tournament broadcast graphics and in-game tournament kits is a real honor and we are excited for our fans to experience in the future year. And this is just the beginning of our coverage – stay tuned for more in 2026 and beyond.”
This partnership means that in Football Manager 26, all teams participating in the 2026 World Cup will have their official kits in the game. Further details on what else this partnership and international governance update will bring will be announced at a later date. The premiere of Football Manager 26 is scheduled for November 4.
