Splinterlands announced a novel ranked play format called “Survival mode“, which will be added to the current Modern and Wild formats. This mode will allow players to experience a different approach, focusing on collection management and game without energy limits. Unlike other formats, survival mode allows this players to battle as much as they want without energy limitations.
New strategies
One of the key aspects of Survival Mode is this When a card dies in battle, it cannot be used again for a set period of time. Card renewal times will depend on factors such as rarity, level and typewhich changes the usual battle dynamics and forces players to rethink their collection strategies. Instead of focusing on getting one copy of each card at a high level, players will need to collect multiple copies of the cards maintain a constant level of participation in battles.

The reward system in Survival Mode will be similar to other ranked modes, with: The SPS prize pool depends on the victories obtained. The distribution of these prizes will be calculated in accordance with “shares in prizes” earned by each player compared to the total number of rewards accumulated in all Survival battles over the past two weeks. Additionally, at the end of each season, players with the highest ratings will receive additional rewards.

Splinterlands will sell “revival potions” in its marketplace
Another element introduced in this mode is the ability to utilize “Elixirs of Revival” that allow players revive cards that died in battleremoving their cooldown so they can be used again. These potions will be available for purchase in the Splinterlands Market using: their price has not been determined yet.
The Splinterlands team also mentioned that while the format will initially launch with an expansion a elementary set of rulesthey expect to receive community feedback to adapt and improve the mode over time. Possible future modifications include versions of Survival Mode that restrict the utilize of certain types of cards or introduce events with special rules,
