Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos offers multiplayer gameplay with mechs on mobile devices

  • Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos is a multiplayer mech fighting game, now available on iOS and Android
  • Drive your walking tank to victory and collect parts to unlock modern versions
  • Battle on three different planets with no pay to win

As the saying goes: “We dig giant robots.” It is not without reason that huge mechs, remotely controlled, independent or with a human in the cockpit, have proven to be so popular. Now Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos offers fast-paced 3v3 action where you ride your personal tank and turn your enemy into scrap.

From developer Gamedia and available now on iOS and Android, Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos allows you to not only take on your opponents in multiplayer battles, but also work to unlock modern mechs, piece by piece, as you fight on three different planets.

Look, I’m a Battletech fan. So I can appreciate the concept of realism. But let’s be sincere, quads are kind of lame. This is even more impressive. Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos does the seemingly impossible and makes these drunken four-legged farces actually seem a little infirmed. And with its fast-paced PvP action, it can even convince skeptics like me.

Mech Action

Okay, let’s put aside all the jokes and slander about quad mechs (what’s wrong with two legs, eh?). Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos is a very interesting-looking premiere. Over the years, we’ve seen things like Mechwarrior: Online attempt to balance realistic mech combat in multiplayer, with mixed results.

However, Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos discards any notion of realism in favor of fast-paced, weighty metal action. And for those of us who just want to see giant robots blow to pieces, I guess that’s the true meaning of Christmas.
