About a month after its blockbuster launch, the future looks bleak for Space Marine 2 as Saber Interactive outlines its roadmap for post-launch content coming soon to the game. The Season Pass includes Dark Angels and a free update that will add a killer difficulty level and a fresh PvE operation, with much more on the horizon in 2025.
Dark Angels is one of the most popular Space Marine chapters, and their appearance in Space Marine 2, along with several of their successors, will no doubt be well received. Season Pass owners will be able to dress in gloomy green and ponder their gloomy secrets while fighting aliens and Chaos in PvE and PvP modes.
Speaking of which, the fresh PvE operation will be coming to the game with the first free content update. The ending pits you and your team of three against the greatest Tyranid threat the swarm can bring, the Hierophant Bio-Titan.
And if you just want pain, you’ll be able to play on the killer difficulty, also included in the free update.
Saber then committed to bringing more content to the game through 2025. This will include both free updates that will add the Neo-Volkite gun, more fresh PvE operations, PvP maps and modes, and a fresh Horde mode in a later update. With Season Passes, you’ll be able to unlock more premium cosmetics for Space Marines so you can represent your favorite chapters.
In our review of Space Marine 2, Dom said: “The best interpretation of the Warhammer 40,000 universe we have ever seen. Bombastic, brutal and brilliant fun from start to finish, though those already invested in Games Workshop’s sci-fi world will get the most out of it.”
