Sony sued Tencent about the shameless horizon of Light of Motiram games

Sony sued Tencent, claiming that the upcoming game Light of Motiram is “Slovaky Sie’s … Horizon Series of Video Games.”

The complaint, which was filed in the California court last week, claims that the upcoming adventure game TENCENT LIGHT OF MOTIM is illegally similar to Horizon: a ban on the West and Horizon: Zero Dawn in everything, from designing creatures to heroine to marketing materials. The complaint presents many similarities, comparing various screenshots of the marketing screen from both games and game descriptions.

Like the horizon, MotiMm lightweight takes place in a post -apocalyptic world controlled by giant robot dinosaurs, which wander gigantic, natural environments, such as tropical forests, deserts and snowy mountains. People, like in the horizon, live in tribal groups and have to fight machine animals, which also largely connect with those in the horizon to survive. Both games even include red -haired heroines who wear very similar costumes and styles, and Motiram even has its leading position in a device terribly similar to Aloy’s headphones “Focus”.

The complaint also cites headers headers on many sides with games, including Kotak, Thegamer and Gamerant, as well as various comments of Steam and Reddit, that they all notice the similarities between two games and the probability that Sony will probably sue this problem.

“Similarities with the horizon revealed in the light of the Motiram promotional game trailer and other promotional materials included not only identical stories and topics of the game, cultural elements and characters, but also the style of art, landscapes, architectural elements and art, color palettes, fonts and symbols.

Also, according to Sony’s complaint, Tencent allegedly knew exactly what he was doing here. Sony says that Tencent began to develop the Light Motiram in 2023 and turned to Sony at the 2024 game programmers conference to ask for a license agreement to develop their own game on the horizon. Sony rejected Tencent. But still Tencent was still developing Motiram light. Sony also claims that he contacted the informal Tencent to solve the dispute about copyright when he learned about the game, but when he did, Sony says that Tencent once again tried to license Horizon. Sony once again refused, and Tencent allegedly went forward with the promotions and toys of the game.

Sony sued Tencent for copyright and violation of the trademark, as well as a false designation of origin. He asks the court for a permanent order to Tencent to violate his copyright, costs and damage to USD 150,000 for each separate work on the horizon, which has been violated, and requires that Tencent provide Sony with all materials violating the violation to destruction.

Meanwhile, Light of Motiram has a Steam list, but there is no release date yet.
