Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is only available to a select few worldwide (and Xbox Game Pass subscribers, apparently). Once the starting gun went off, players raced to try out the game during opening hours. However, one player started Twitch with a lofty goal: unlocking the world’s first gold camouflage. Meanwhile, I’m at work. Numbers.
Reidboy Streamer I launched the game right after its release and immediately started grinding out the gold camouflage on the XM4 assault rifle. Less than three hours after the start, he achieved his goal and posted a tweet on the skin, stating that he was the first in the world.

As far as we know, it is impossible to be sure whether he was the first in the world to achieve this camouflage. It certainly looks like he was the first streamer to pull it off, but maybe there’s a lone player out in the wilds of Alaska who’s crushing it harder than anyone else. Either way, it’s certainly one of the first and is part of the first wave of what’s sure to be a fierce battle to unlock all the camos in the game.

Reidboy isn’t the only one who sees camouflage hunting as the main selling point of the novel Call of Duty releases. Unlocked through specific challenges for each weapon, the race to gain power in each weapon and check off all the items is a seafaring grind that can certainly whittle hours away as if they were mere minutes. We wish all camouflage hunters all the best for a weekend full of sleep deprivation and fun.
