Late Coffee Talk creator Mohammad Fahmi’s latest project coincides with Valentine’s Day, with the release of rhythm-of-life adventure game Afterlove EP on February 14 on PS5.
Set in Jakarta, Indonesia, the game will depict the difficulties of a juvenile musician trying to move on with his life after the sudden and tragic death of his girlfriend. Here you will find a mixture of visual novel, narrative adventure and rhythm game.
Here is the official note: “The Rama band will have an vital concert next month. Either he takes his music seriously and delivers the recent songs he promised, or the band will cope without him.
“Over the course of twenty-eight days and nights, your choices will determine the path that Rama will choose. Explore the city, choose which relationships you want to repair and which recent ones to build. Make peace with your past, rediscover your imaginative voice, and support Rama shape your future.
The game follows the style of the Indonesian artist Soyatu and the musician of the local independent band L’Alphalpha. You’ll also be able to experience a relatively realistic, manga-style interpretation of Jakarta by viewing side-scrolling segments.
This game looks like it will appeal to fans of games like A Space for the Unbound and anime like Bocchi the Rock. Will you try?
