Getting into coding can be dull for most of us, but it’s fascinating for many. But if all the concepts behind it seem overwhelming to you, then maybe you should start learning with a recent game from Predict Edumedia, SirKwitz.
SirKwitz is a super-simple puzzle game that offers kids (and some adults, we’re sure) a way to learn the basics of coding. You control SirKwitz, who you have to move around a grid to activate each square. To do this, you have to program him with uncomplicated movements to make sure he reaches his goal.
It’s all very basic stuff, but it turns out to be a very uncomplicated introduction to basic coding concepts like basic logic, loops, orientation, sequences, and debugging. It may not be exactly mahjong, but it’s a uncomplicated and fun way to quickly learn a few key ideas.

When it comes to educational and entertainment games, we don’t often get the chance to talk about them. However, we think it’s good that every now and then a game comes along that makes learning such intricate concepts fun. After all, some of us of a certain age remember the aged days of sites like BBC Bitesize and how they taught us to, if not like, then at least tolerate learning through play.
But there are plenty of other games out there, so why not check out our latest entry in our weekly roundup of the five best recent mobile games to try this week?
